Viking Shield of Protection

Exercise for Game Artist course involving 3D modelling, voxel painting and set assembly. The shield was created in Blender from a reference image, followed by the UV maps creation and then voxel painting in Substance. Finally, Marmoset was used for baking, setting up and rendering the final scene, which contains models from Megascan, aquired through Quixel Bridge. The dark and mysterious atmosphere tells the story of a long forgotten shield, which lights up after years to welcome its incoming chosen bearer, who is cutting through the cold night with his warm torch fire.
